Jerry and Jason Niemeier’s story begins with a small farm and ranch operation that started in 1984 in McGregor Texas.

After growing that operation into a successful and lucrative business, their focus turned to opening a feed store and drive thru beer barn….what a combination! They definitely had people scratching their heads when they came up with that idea, little did they know that they had, yet again, come up with a winner. And since 2003 Niemeier Feed & Grain has been going strong.

So, it was no surprise to anyone when in 2009, Jerry and Jason announced their newest vision, a steakhouse and saloon that would have high quality food at a reasonable price.

Their goal was to provide a place for people to go for lunch or dinner, and not spend a fortune. A place that was nice enough to celebrate an anniversary or birthday, but not so formal you wouldn’t feel comfortable in your jeans and boots!

Their vision for the saloon side was to create an atmosphere that invited people to stop by after a long day at work to relax and unwind. And with a shuffleboard table, a dance floor, and the occasional live band, they hit their mark once again.

Niemeier Farms, Niemeier Feed & Grain, and now Doc’s on Main were all started by two men who are never satisfied with idleness. For the last 25 years they have worked diligently and tirelessly to build their empire. Which is why we all sit around and wonder to ourselves…..what will they think of next?
